G-Mac Battles Through Tough Week at LIV Golf UK
Graeme showed plenty of resilience at LIV Golf UK at JCB Golf & Country Club, finishing T53 after a demanding four rounds.
The Northern Irishman made a solid start with back-to-back rounds of level-par 72, staying in touch heading into the weekend on a course that rewarded aggressive scoring. As conditions toughened, G-Mac found the closing two rounds more challenging, carding 75 (+3) and 77 (+5) to finish the week at +8.
While the result wasn’t what Graeme was aiming for, there were positives to take from the opening two rounds. His patience and ball-striking kept him in the mix through 36 holes before the demanding JCB layout proved difficult to tame over the weekend.
Australia’s Lucas Herbert claimed victory with a tournament-record 30-under-par total, while G-Mac’s OKGC team finished 12th.
Graeme now turns his attention to the next LIV Golf event, looking to build on the encouraging signs from the opening half of the week.
