Graeme records T45 finish as OKGC claims runner-up spot in Korea

Graeme showed plenty of positive signs at LIV Golf Korea, opening the tournament with an impressive two-under-par 68 to put himself firmly in the mix after the first round. The former U.S. Open champion followed with rounds of 71, 73 and 71 to finish tied for 45th on three-over par for the week.

While the final position did not reflect the quality of golf he produced at times, G-Mac demonstrated the resilience and fighting spirit that have defined his career. His opening-round 68 featured six birdies and highlighted the sharp iron play and course management that remain key strengths of his game. Throughout the week, he continued to create scoring opportunities but found it difficult to string together the low rounds needed to climb the leaderboard on a demanding Korean layout.

There was, however, plenty to celebrate in the team competition. OKGC delivered one of its strongest performances of the season, finishing second on 20-under par, just three shots behind Crushers GC. Consistent scoring across all four rounds kept the team firmly in contention throughout the week, with rounds of -7, -7, -1 and -5 securing an impressive runner-up finish ahead of Ripper GC and 4Aces GC.

The result underlined the growing strength and chemistry within OKGC, with Graeme playing his part in another encouraging week for the team. While he will undoubtedly be looking for a higher individual finish at the next LIV Golf event, the strong team performance and flashes of excellent form provided plenty of positives to take forward.

G-Mac – T45: R1 -2, R2 +1, R3 +3, R4 +1, Total +3

OKGC – 2nd: R1 -7, R2 -7, R3 -1, R4 -5, Total -20
