G-Mac Finishes T8 in Hong Kong with Hole-in-One Highlight as Smash GC Takes Team Runner-Up
LIV Golf Hong Kong was a memorable week for Graeme as he secured a T8 finish at 14-under par and delivered one of the tournament’s standout moments with a hole-in-one.
Playing at the historic Hong Kong Golf Club, G-Mac showed great form throughout the week and capped it off with a strong team performance alongside Smash GC, who finished T2 in the team competition.
Round 2 Highlight: Ace and a 63
The highlight of the week came in Round 2, when G-Mac produced a brilliant 7-under-par 63.
The round featured:
- Hole-in-one on the 192-yard par-3 5th
- Six birdies
- Just one bogey
- Front nine: 31 (-3)
- Back nine: 32 (-4)
The ace sparked the round and quickly became one of the biggest moments of the event, helping G-Mac climb the leaderboard and set up a strong finish.
Big Week for Smash GC
It was also a strong showing for Smash GC, with the team combining well throughout the tournament to secure 2nd place at 52-under par.
The team’s scoring across the week was impressive:
- Round 1: -19
- Round 2: -16
- Round 3: -9
- Round 4: -8
- Total: -52
The performance kept Smash GC firmly in contention all week and resulted in podium finish for the team.
A Week to Remember in Hong Kong
A top-10 finish, a hole-in-one, and a podium team result made it a fantastic week in Hong Kong for G-Mac and Smash GC — and another reminder that the Northern Irishman can still produce plenty of magic on the golf course. ⛳

What happened before we got here?
A lot! Hong Kong Golf Club can trace its history all the way back to 1889 and the current course was first laid in 1911. It’s been hosting the Hong Kong Open every year since 1959.
