Graeme finished in a tie for 35th at Maridoe Golf Club in Dallas, showing some solid golf along the way. He continued his good form on the opening day with an excellent two-under 70, leaving him just three shots off the lead. On Saturday, after a couple of early bogeys, he showed real determination to bounce back with birdies at the 6th and 7th, and added another at the 10th to get back to level for much of the round. Despite a few late dropped shots, he battled to a two-over finish for the day. Sunday’s hot Dallas conditions proved testing for the Port Rush man, with Graeme ultimately closing with a +6 round to finish +6 overall.

Team Score: SMASH GC finished in 13th position with a score of +42 (+15, +7, +20)

THE COURSE

When you think of Texas, you automatically think big, right? The food, the parties, the vast plains and endless fields… everything is on a different scale here. And at Maridoe Golf Club on the outskirts of Dallas, you’ll find golf in XXL.

Built over 200 acres of prairie land, the course tops out at over 7,800 yards. Billionaire owner Albert Huddleston is not afraid to challenge golfing tradition (he’s even built a croquet court on the property) so he’s a perfect fit for us.

The Maridoe hosted LIV Golf in 2024 and this time we’re coming right in the peak of the season. This sun-drenched Texan showdown could play a crucial role in determining the destiny of the championships, so let’s look at what the players can expect.

Course Stats: 7543 Yards, Par 72.
