Graeme McDowell
On the course Graeme’s greatest achievements, so far in his career, include victory at the 2010 US Open Champion at Pebble Beach and in the same year sealing victory in the Ryder Cup for Europe at Celtic Manor. Off the course Graeme enjoys spending time with his family and friends in both Florida and his birthplace Portrush, watching football and movies.
The G-Mac Foundation was set up by my wife, Kristin and I and supports children’s medical research in Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and in the United States.
In 2013 Graeme opened the Nona Blue Modern Tavern restaurant and bar outside Lake Nona in Orlando and in 2016 he opened Nona Blue Ponte Vedra Beach just outside the gates of PGA TOUR headquarters. Included on the menu is the must-try G-Mac and Cheese!
In 2022 Graeme teamed up with Global Award Winning Beverage Company to launch a new Irish Whiskey with an American Finish. “Grey Coast is a representation of me and my life. From overseeing every aspect of the brand to doing numerous tastings until the unique blend of whiskies was just right, I’ve worked hard to ensure this whiskey reflects who I am – and I couldn’t be happier with the result.” Grey Coast Whiskey is available across North America and Ireland.

Valero Texas Open
A final round of +2, 74 for Graeme gives a T54 finish with even par for the tournament.
Summary
Graeme had his best round of the tournament on Saturday with a bogey-free 69 at the Valero Texas Open.
Starting on the back nine, he opened with eight pars before turning with a birdie on the 18th hole. That brought Graeme under par and two more birdies on the third and seventh holes.

Round 1 – 74, Round 2 – 71, Round 3 – 69, Round 4 – 74

Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship
Graeme finished two shots behind winner Joel Dahmen at the Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship PGA Tour event in the Dominican Republic.
Graeme, who won the event in 2019, shot a final round of 69 on Sunday which moved him to 10-under-par.
Five birdies brought Graeme into contention however two bogeys on the final two holes ended his challenge.
The 2010 US Open champion ended the windswept seaside course tied for fourth with his best finish in two years.
“You know, it’s great to feel disappointed with a top-10 because it’s been a really, really rough three months this year,” Graeme said.
“It’s actually been a rough stretch since last June, since we came back after the break. I really haven’t played the type of golf I know I’m capable of.
“It’s been a tough run and this is really a light at the end of the tunnel this week, so it’s really important that I sort of frame this up the right way. This is massive progress.
“You could look at those two bogeys and if you focus on those, all you see is disappointment, but I have to focus on the bigger picture, which is I’m back playing the kind of golf I know I can play.
“I’m going to San Antonio next week with a chance to compete in the golf tournament, which is what I believe I’m capable of.”

PIF Saudi International powered by Softbank Investment Advisers
With rounds of 70,67 70 and 66, it was a good start to the 2023 season with a respectable 7 under T25 finish at the PIF Saudi International powered by Softbank Investment Advisers. I hit the ball well tee to green and the putter warmed up as the week came to a finale with a nice 66, included 5 birdies.
The Royal Greens Golf and Country Club holds fond memories after being the Saudi International Champion back in 2020 with a 2 shot margin. As always the club and staff were incredibly welcoming and hosted a fantastic tournament.
