U.S. Open Return for G-Mac
Graeme return to the U.S. Open was one of the stories of the week as the 2010 champion teed it up in the championship for the first time in six years.
After earning his place through Final Qualifying, G-Mac made a dream start at Shinnecock Hills, birdieing his first two holes to briefly lead the championship. While the notoriously tough course and challenging conditions eventually took their toll, he battled hard over two rounds, posting scores of 76 and 76.
Although he missed the cut, the week marked another memorable chapter G-Mac’s U.S. Open journey and a welcome return to one of golf’s biggest stages.
Scores: 76-76 (+12) – Missed Cut.
