G-Mac Shines with Career-Best T2 Finish at LIV Golf!

Graeme delivered his best LIV Golf performance to date with a brilliant T2 finish at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club. He played with confidence and consistency, carding rounds of -4, -5, and -5 to finish at -14.

Graeme led heading into the final day and held strong for much of Sunday, making it an exciting battle right down to the final hole. He came up just one shot short, but his game was sharp and full of positives heading into the next event.

It was also a great showing for Team Smash GC, finishing the week strong in 3rd place overall. Momentum is building — bring on the next one!

Team Score: 3rd for SMASH GC -31 (McDowell 66, Gooch 67, Koepka 69, Kokrak 71: Rd. 3 score: -11)

THE COURSE

Robert Trent Jones Golf Club, Gainesville, Virginia

Robert Trent Jones shaped how the world plays golf. And that’s not an exaggeration.

The great man designed or remodelled over 400 courses during his career, from Rio to Fukushima. You’ll find his footprints in the bunkers of Valderrama, the slopes of Medinah and the fearsome watery graves of Celtic Manor.

But there’s one course RTJ placed above all others. And that’s the one that bears his name in Virginia. Robert Trent Jones Golf Club was, he said, “my masterpiece.” And this year, it gets the champions.

Course Stats: 7418 Yards, Par 71.

LIV GOLF – KOREA 2025

May 2nd – 4th, 2025

Graeme capped off the week at the Jack Nicklaus Golf Club in South Korea with back-to-back top-20 finishes, placing T20, while his team, Smash GC, secured a strong second-place finish.

It was a mixed opening day for G-Mac scoring +1. He was one shot down on the opening nine with a bogey on the par 4, 4th (his 8th) before getting back to par on the 8th (his 11th) with some good fortune. His tee shot hit the stand behind the green before rebounding onto the putting surface, he then delighted the crowd by making birdie. After a brace of bogeys on 10 & 11 (his 13th & 14th) he pulled one back on the 15th (his 17th).

Day two was when team Smash GC made their move topping the table and going into the final round. Day two was also Graeme’s best round of the week with a a score of -3 which included three birdies with no dropped shots.

On Sunday, Graeme put in a solid round of -2, 70 which again included three birdies but this time with one dropped shot. Crushers GC were on fire and pushed Smash into second place in the Team standing, ending an exciting week in South Korea.

Result: T20 with rounds of -1 -3 -2, Total -4

Team Smash GC claimed their best result of the year so far, finishing in 2nd place with scores of -10, -11, and -5 for a total of -26.

THE COURSE

When you’re about to make history, you need a proper stage, right? Well we couldn’t have picked a more fitting venue for our Korea debut than Jack Nicklaus’ majestic course in Incheon.

Nicklaus, the 18-time major champ, has created a masterpiece in the middle of one of Korea’s busiest urban centers, with cliffs, sneaky dips and water hazards that shimmer in the shadows of the skyscrapers. Now it lies in wait for Bryson, DeChambeau, Jon Rahm and Kevin Na’s local heroes IronHeads GC.

LIV GOLF – MEXICO CITY 2025

Apr 25th – 27th, 2025

Graeme played some solid golf to coming away from Mexico in the top 20 with a T17 finish.

After Day 1, Graeme McDowell carded a two-under-par round, driven by an impressive performance off the tee—hitting 12 of 14 fairways to lead the field in driving accuracy. The 2010 U.S. Open champion carried that momentum into Day 2, starting hot with three birdies in his first five holes. However, back-to-back bogeys on the 5th and 6th (his 8th and 9th holes of the day) slowed his progress, and he finished the round at one-under. Day 3 was a tale of two halves: after dropping three shots over his first 11 holes, the Portrush native dug deep, closing with three birdies to post an even-par round on Sunday.

Result: T17 with rounds of -2, -1, E, Total -3

Team Smash GC finished in 7th place with a score of -9, -3, +6 for a Total of -6

LIV GOLF – MIAMI 2025

Apr 04th – 06th, 2025

It was a challenging week for Graeme at the tough Trump National Doral. He got off to a rough start on the opening day, recording a double bogey, and was unable to recover, finishing with a seven-over par 79. Day 2 was G-Mac’s best, despite another double bogey to start. Graeme rebounded with a strong mid-round performance, ultimately posting a one-over par 73. Unfortunately, it wasn’t his week on a course that didn’t suit his game, and on Sunday, he shot a six-over par 78, ending the tournament in a tie for 44th with a total score of +30. Onwards!

Result: T44 with rounds of +7, +1, +6, Total +14

Team Smash GC finished in T9 place with a score of +12, +14, +3 for a Total of +30

THE COURSE

“A big boy course” is how Brooks Koepka describes Trump National Doral Miami’s famed Blue Monster. Rarely have truer words been spoken.

The Blue Monster has been taming greatness for the last 60 years. Spanning over 7,500 yards, this awesome course is feared and revered for its flowing fairways and the nightmarish water hazard that guards the 18th green.

This is a place that forces top players to bring their A-game, and it’s already witnessed arguably the greatest shot in LIV Golf history. In 2023, Bryson DeChambeau inspired Crushers GC to victory with a ‘Birdie over the Birdie shack’, somehow chipping the music terrace and scrambling a birdie after his drive ended up on the wrong green.

Now we’re coming back right on the eve of Majors season, so everyone’s going to be dialed in. Here’s what to expect.

Course Stats: 7760 Yards, Par 72.

INTERNATIONAL SERIES – MACAU 2025

Mar 20th – 23th, 2025

Graeme had a poor opening day on the greens at Macau G&CC, taking 34 putts as he opened with a two-over 72 to share 111th.

The 2010 US Open champion (45) double-bogeyed the second and three-putted the third to slip to three over.

He birdied the seventh, ninth and 13th to get back to level but had two more three putts as he bogeyed the 14th, 16th and 17th before finishing with a birdie.

On Day 2, McDowell found his rhythm, firing a five-under 65, which included eight birdies, to make a significant leap up the leaderboard heading into the weekend. However, he couldn’t maintain that momentum, posting an even-par 70 on Saturday, followed by a one-under 69 in the final round.

He can still rally in Macau or qualify for The Open via the LIV Golf individual standings or Final qualifying.

“Yeah, obviously it’s a great opportunity next week in Macau to have three Open Championship spot,” McDowell said after LIV Singapore last week, where he finished 53rd in the 54-man field.

“Especially for me with it being Royal Portrush, my hometown, there’s a little bit of extra motivation there.”

The Course : Macau Golf and Country Club, 6637 Yards, Par 70.
