Graeme McDowell
On the course Graeme’s greatest achievements, so far in his career, include victory at the 2010 US Open Champion at Pebble Beach and in the same year sealing victory in the Ryder Cup for Europe at Celtic Manor. Off the course Graeme enjoys spending time with his family and friends in both Florida and his birthplace Portrush, watching football and movies.

The G-Mac Foundation was set up by my wife, Kristin and I and supports children’s medical research in Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and in the United States.
In 2013 Graeme opened the Nona Blue Modern Tavern restaurant and bar outside Lake Nona in Orlando and in 2016 he opened Nona Blue Ponte Vedra Beach just outside the gates of PGA TOUR headquarters. Included on the menu is the must-try G-Mac and Cheese!

In 2022 Graeme teamed up with Global Award Winning Beverage Company to launch a new Irish Whiskey with an American Finish. “Grey Coast is a representation of me and my life. From overseeing every aspect of the brand to doing numerous tastings until the unique blend of whiskies was just right, I’ve worked hard to ensure this whiskey reflects who I am – and I couldn’t be happier with the result.” Grey Coast Whiskey is available across North America and Ireland.

LIV GOLF – HONG KONG 2025
Mar 07th – 09th, 2025
LIV Golf’s latest event rolled into Fanlin, Hong Kong at the Hong Kong Golf Club.
Having finished 8th place last year it is an event that Graeme’s enjoys.
G-Mac opened his account with an opening 2 under par which included three birdies with one dropped shot.
It was on day Day 2 that Graeme found his rhythm shooting a fantastic five-under par to put him just four shots off the pace. This moved him up to seventh place and in good shape on the leaderboard at seven-under-par.
However, despite a strong stretch of four birdies in seven holes on Sunday, Graeme slipped out of the top 10. A bogey on the par-4 11th (his 10th hole of the day) and a late double bogey on the 18th (his 17th hole) saw him drop to 12th place. He finished the event with a 2-under-par round, ending the week at 9-under-par.
Result: T12, -2, -5, -2, Total -9
Team Smash GC finished in 12th place with a score of +3, -15, -5, Total -17
THE COURSE
Now, LIV Golf is here to write a fresh chapter in this amazing history. Last year’s debut brought a record single-day crowd to Fanling, finishing in twin thrillers on the final day.
Whether you caught LIV Golf Hong Kong last year or you’re making your own debut this time, here’s everything to know as we begin the first Asian leg of our season.
Hong Kong Golf Club can trace its history all the way back to 1889 and the current course was first laid in 1911. It’s been hosting the Hong Kong Open every year since 1959 (our own Patrick Reed, of 4Aces GC, took the last one in 2024).
How does this course play?
Tight and tough. Fanling is one of the smallest courses in golf, so bomb and gouge (the golfers’ term for distance over accuracy) won’t cut it.

LIV GOLF – ADELAIDE 2025
Feb 14th – 16th, 2025
It was a tough week at The Grange Golf Club for both Graeme and Team Smash GC.
Day 1 saw Graeme start with a bogey, but he quickly bounced back with two birdies in the first four holes. The middle stretch proved challenging as he dropped three shots, though he managed to regain some momentum with a birdie on his 16th hole (course hole 13) before closing with a par to finish the day at +1.
Day 2 was a struggle for the Portrush man, as he carded a three-over-par round with four bogeys and just one birdie.
But in true G-Mac fashion, he fought until the end, saving his best for Sunday. He posted a two-under-par 70, sinking five birdies along the way to finish the week on a high note.
Thank you Adelaide and also the great support by all of the fans.
Result: T37, +1, +3, -2, Total +2
Team Smash GC finished in 13th place with a score of +3, +5, +5, Total +13

INTERNATIONAL SERIES – MACAU 2025
Mar 20th – 23th, 2025
Graeme had a poor opening day on the greens at Macau G&CC, taking 34 putts as he opened with a two-over 72 to share 111th.
The 2010 US Open champion (45) double-bogeyed the second and three-putted the third to slip to three over.
He birdied the seventh, ninth and 13th to get back to level but had two more three putts as he bogeyed the 14th, 16th and 17th before finishing with a birdie.
On Day 2, McDowell found his rhythm, firing a five-under 65, which included eight birdies, to make a significant leap up the leaderboard heading into the weekend. However, he couldn’t maintain that momentum, posting an even-par 70 on Saturday, followed by a one-under 69 in the final round.
He can still rally in Macau or qualify for The Open via the LIV Golf individual standings or Final qualifying.
“Yeah, obviously it’s a great opportunity next week in Macau to have three Open Championship spot,” McDowell said after LIV Singapore last week, where he finished 53rd in the 54-man field.
“Especially for me with it being Royal Portrush, my hometown, there’s a little bit of extra motivation there.”
